Motive
To play and promote the game of cricket in the true spirit of integrity, unity, passion and fun.
Ground Rules/Guidelines
· Folsom Frontiers is an equal oppurtunity cricket club.
· Teams for the league games will be selected by the EC. Captain can make suggestions to the EC.
· Team selection for league will be based on following factors. These factors will have a “FAIR” impact on all the members of the club including EC, Captain and Vice Captain.
o Regularity in Practice sessions
o Team involvement
o Social games participation
o Time commitment in practice sessions and league games. All players are expected to arrive at practice and league games on said time under normal circumstances
o Quality of play ( will be decided upon the course of social and practice games)
o Timely availability during league matches. Weekends are officially scheduled for a league match. Players are expected to respond latest by the Thursday.
o In worst case considering all players successfully passed on above factors. Team will be selected upon team composition.
· Decision taken by EC is final under all circumstances.
· EC is required to give justifications for the decisions taken when questioned for any discrepancies by the members/founder. Questions MUST be raised only to EC.
· Captain and Vice Captain for the team will maintain their post for 3 matches and will be renewed or changed depending upon the feedback of the players and handling of the game.
o To maintain coherency within members
o Avoid bias between members
o To have best tactics and strategy in the play
· Under the situation when captain and vice captain both are not playing the game, an acting captain and vice captain will be appointed by EC.
· Following factors will be considered for appointing a Captain and Vice Captain
o Participation in practice session and social games
o Team building and decision making characteristics
o Exposure to game strategy.
o Exposure to other teams in the league
o Experience of playing league matches
· Under all circumstances team players must follow captain’s decision on the ground. He is the ONLY ruling body on the ground.
· Discussion of any differences/opinions/ambiguities during the play shall take place after the game and healthy manner amongst the team members.
· Disqualification/Discontinuation of membership from the club shall be executed by EC when found repeatedly breaching the general code of conduct.
Code Of Conduct
Players will be penalized for indulging in non disciplinary actions as follows. Penalty could be but not limited to a 2 match ban.
· Failure to report at the said time during the match.
· Abuse of cricket equipment and/or ground clothing.
· Showing dissent at umpire’s decision through action or verbal abuse.
· Using obscene/offensive/insulting/threatening/humiliating language to players/umpires.
· Inappropriate gesture towards the crowd
· Throwing ball at the player or an umpire with a malicious intention.
· Any other action that EC deems inappropriate.
Responsibilities
Founder
· The Founder is responsible to safeguard the motives of the club.
· The Founder can VETO/dissolve the EC when EC/members directly detriment the motives of the club.
· In the situation of the Founder being the Captain / Vice Captain of the side, he loses the power to VETO the EC's decision on Team selection.
· The Founder remains a normal team member in other circumstances.
EC (Executive Committee)
· To ensure every player gets a fair opportunity to play.
· President is responsible to ensure proper working of the club activities and manages external affairs regarding club, ground and other administrative acts. He is an important part in framing an innovative idea in the welfare of the club. He is responsible for smooth functioning of secretary’s and treasurer’s activities.
· Secretary arranges for the social game (any member can inform secretary to follow up if he founds something), grounds, meetings, food services, contacting other teams and keeping the records of cricket gears along with each member presence record during practice and league games.
· Treasurer is responsible for managing club account, expenses and should make a balance sheet of the asset with the club. He is also require to follow up with the webmaster for the Frontiers Group. Every member should contact treasurer for any monetary/inventory/miscellaneous needs for the club
WebMaster
· He is responsible for design, maintain and update club’s webpage. One member from the club will be assigned as a statistician to record the data from the league matches and provide it to the webmaster.
· He will report treasurer for any monetary charges required for webpage maintenance.
Members
· Club is by the people, for the people and of the people.
· Suggestions/Opinions are always welcomed and appreciated.
· Every member has right to question EC for any decisions taken
· Inform EC for any change in plans/unavailability for the match before hand. Last minute notice can create chaos.
· Inform EC for any ideas/thoughts/contacts in the welfare of the club.
· Inform EC for any social games arrangement, cricket gears and other miscellaneous things.
General Policies
· Every member shares an equal responsibility for club expenses and guidelines
· Club is a non-profit organization and will have not monetary gains
· Money once paid in the welfare of the club are non-refundable under normal circumstances.
· All members are “required” to follow the ground rules under all circumstances.
· Its mandatory for all members to abide by SCA rules and regulations.
